Rock will need to determine if you are trustworthy enough to join the resistance. He will send you on a series of travel missions to deliver information to various other resistance members.

Mission 1: Travel to a Newlands town to meet with another resistance member. Simply stand beside them and wait for them to recognize that you were sent by Rock.

Mission 2: Travel to another Newlands town to deliver a package, however, you will have to travel on foot with no magical travel. This means no gating, teleporting, recalling and no mounts. You may use magical spells, armor and weapons to fight any opponents though. If you are caught while on a horse or gating, you will have to restart from the beginning of Act 1.

Mission 3: An informant has agreed to meet with Rock. You will need to travel to a town and sail off the coast but you can once again use magic to travel. Directions are given by the NPC in mission 2. Sail about 100 tiles. At full speed, this will take several seconds. It is okay to miss the mark as a message will appear when it is time to stop, however, do not overshoot the mark by too much. You can be within 150 tiles of the destination point for the informant to show up. When the informant shows up, it's a trap! Kill the informant to continue then return back to the NPC from mission 2.

  • All these missions have a maximum expiry time of 1 hour. If you fail to complete it in that time, you will have to restart from the beginning.
  • Have a realm map to see which town you need to travel.
  • Keep to the roads for a safer journey.
  • Make sure you read all messages sent to you.
  • You may laugh at others if they have to run from Portsmith to Bogmoor but take care you don't have to do it yourself!

Part 2

Once you have finished these travel missions, you will have to collect several items for Professor Blackwell to aid in her study. Of course, the easiest way to gain these items is to see if any player vendors have them for sale but if you prefer to find them yourself:

  • Crystal vial: Made by the tinkerer.
  • Light parchment: Used by scribes. This is actually a beast to make and a detailed guide can be found at Inscription.
  • Any elemental gem: Found a variety of ways but usually through harvesting. The highest chance of finding these gems is a gm miner.
  • Rune of Returning: Can only be bought at Myrrdin, the Magic Dealer for 75 stone tokens.
  • Mug of ale: Purchase a bottle of ale and a mug at the barkeep. Empty the mug and use the mug to fill from the bottle.
