Act 4: Civil Disobedience

While you were gone, there has been mass rioting in the towns of Valhalla. It is your job to quell these uprisings through any means possible. Visit Thorne Silverblade near the Asgard Palace as he is the one who is monitoring the situation. He will inform you of when a town is under siege.

Once a town has been announced, first find the guard captain posted at the town. Beside him/her is a chest that contains a guard rope to be used to arrest rioters. The guard rope is free and lasts for a few hours. You can only have one guard rope at a time. To arrest a rioter, use the guard rope on the rioter and it will subdue them after a few seconds. They will follow you back to the guard captain. If the distance is too great, they may slip away from their bonds and you will have to arrest them again.

• This is considered to be a shard event as it is publicly-announced to everyone on. Everyone may participate.

• Rioters need to be arrested and dragged back to the guard captain to gain 2 points. If you kill a rioter, you will not gain any points.

• Protestors need to be satisfied by offering 1000 gold or 6 items of clothing for 3 points. To complete the area, protestors must either be satisfied or killed. There is no penalty for killing the protestors.

• Flaming garbage piles can be stomped out by double-clicking on the garbage. You have a 20% chance to get 1 point.

• You need 100 points total to continue.

• Everyone participating can earn points whether they are on the quest or not.

• The event lasts for about 3 hours. After a town has been purged, things may be quiet for awhile but another town will usually be announced within 15 minutes. Take a break! Once the event is over, visiting Thorne will start the event over again if you do not have enough arrests or it will end and he will send you back to Rock.

• Tip: you can get free clothing by preparing in advance. They take nearly any type of armor or clothing so visit a place that drops a lot of clothing in the loot.
