The armor and damage bonuses on masterpiece items are hidden. The only way to know what they are is to rub a piece of litmus paper on the item and let it change color. Using the litmus paper again will tell you what bonuses the item has, if any.
If you use the litmus paper on a weapon, armor or shield and it tells you the item is not a weapon or an armor, it is likely due to the armor not having damage or armor bonuses on it. It is equivalent to a base item.
Litmus paper is an exotic good only imported by Myrrdin, the Magic Dealer although he has a large stock on-hand.
ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN-GAME. USE YOUR MAGERY SKILL FOR FULL INFORMATION ABOUT AN ITEM.
