Elemental hammers change the elemental damage structure to a weapon. Combat damage is divided into physical and the four elements: fire, cold, energy and poison. Many monsters have varying resists to each.

The only way to obtain an elemental hammer is to complete tailoring, mining or blacksmithy bulk order deeds, complete a special quest by some questgivers or find it in a boss loot.

To infuse a weapon with elemental damage, you will also need a cold, fire, energy, physical or poison elemental gem found by harvesting or grinding ore or logs using the extractor (made by tinkers).

Each elemental hammer has 4 charges. You may add one charge at a time but change any of the 5 damage types (for example, you can add +5 fire and +5 cold at the same time). The total % must add up to 100%. Properties are added or subtracted by 5% at a time. Every time you add a property, you must deduct the corresponding amount from another property. For example, if you have a brand new weapon, it will be defaulted to 100% physical. You can deduct 15% from physical and add 15% to cold damage. The weapon will now do 85% physical and 15% cold.

If you want to remove all the elemental damage from a weapon, you must use a Neutralizing Oil.
