Even the most stalwart of adventurers gets tired of eating stringy beef jerky. The chef is able to make a variety of foods that will satisfy your hunger.

Food is an important contributer to your regeneration rates. When you are hungry, you will not regenerate as much compared to being full. Different foods satisfy your hunger faster - a fried chicken leg may only take two to fill you up whereas plain old ribs may take several.

=== Supplies ===
Most ingredients can be found in gardens or by killing animals for their meat. Here are a few tips to finding elusive ingredients.

* Lard and most meats can be bought from NPC butchers.
* Meat can also be found on some monsters if you enable autocarving.
* Fruits and some veggies can be bought from NPC farmers.
* Some veggies can be collected/gathered from gardens and farms.
* Double-click an empty pitcher and target a cow to get milk.
* Double-click an empty pitcher and target a water barrel to get water.
* Honey can be purchased from a beekeeper or harvested from beehives.
* Double-click the flour mill to make bags of flour (from wheat), cornmeal (from corn) or sausages (from raw ribs).
* 5 Wheat makes 10 bags of flour.

=== Cookbook ===
You can buy cookbooks from baker vendors. You will find all the recipes in the cookbook including those for magical foods.

=== Magic Foods ===
Magic foods provide a temporary skill gain. The gains from these foods may seem small but sometimes every little bit helps. Those skilled in the art of cooking may master the art of creating magical food. These foods will assist in many different ways but most require an experts touch to concoct. Many ingredients can be purchased from NPC Vendors but not all are in plentiful supply. Some ingredients are not available for purchase and you will need to source these yourself. There are some talented chefs around the lands with player vendors that sell these magical creations.
