Special Abilities

Overview

Each class has a set of unique special abilities that augments their natural abilities and makes them stronger. For some, these abilities may only affect themselves such as more power with each attack while others may have the ability to affect others around them.


Ability Versions Numbered abilities such as Backstab I, Backstab II and Backstab III are not upgrades but different versions of the same ability. The number usually reflects a higher version that does more damage but has a greater penalty. Backstab I will always do a small amount of damage without failing whereas Backstab II and III will do a greater amount of damage but have a chance to fail.


Types of Abilities

Aura: Auras must be turned on and off. While on, the aura will usually affect everyone within a short range and will continue until you run out of the primary stat it uses (for example, if it uses stamina, once stamina is 0, the aura will turn off).

Combat: This is an automatic ability that activates while you are in combat as long as you meet the requirements of the ability. Combat abilities usually have a short cooldown period between uses, usually about 5 seconds, before it can be used again. For example, Backstab I is a combat ability and will always work as long as you are behind your target but the actual attack is every 5 seconds.

Action: Requires activation by invoking the .ability <name> command (or as a macro). Some action abilities have a cooldown period that they can only be used once every so often, usually around 5 minutes. For example, Backstab II is an action ability and you must type .ability backstabii or have a macro set up to use it and meet the requirements of it.

Passive: Requires no extra input from you. When the player does a certain action, the passive ability will automatically activate. For example, Charm is a passive ability and will be checked when you sell your bags in your hometown.


Purchasing Abilities

In order to purchase special abilities, you will need experience points and an Ability Trainer that will provide training in these abilities. There is an Ability Trainer in most of the more populated Towns and in Asgard itself. To see what abilities are available to you, walk up to the trainer and say "<trainer name> train". He will check your race, class and other such things and then will present you with a list of abilities that you are able to purchase. There is a button to the right of each ability listed. Pressing that button will bring up the details on that particular ability: its cost, the ability type and give a short description of the ability. Clicking okay at the bottom will purchase the ability, clicking cancel will take you back to the ability menu.


  • You may buy up to 3 different abilities.


If you wish to purchase different abilities, you may ask the Ability Trainer to refund your ability by saying, "<trainer name> refund". You will get 50% of the ability cost back and you will be able to purchase a different ability again.


Using Abilities

There is two ways to use an ability. The first is to use the dot command: .ability. This will bring up a list of useable abilities. If you wish to make a macro/action key, you can use .ability <abilityname> where <abilityname> is the short internal name of the ability (for example: .ability enrapture1).

Not all abilities are shown using .ability. If you want to see a list of your abilities, use .ability list.

Assassin

Backstab I 10K combat Extra damage when fighting behind a target. You do not have to be hidden and automatically attacks while you are behind the target.
Backstab II backstab2 20K action A single strong attack when when hidden and behind a target. Damage is based on a set amount of damage, the damage bonus of your weapon in your hand and any magical bonuses on the weapon. Chance of success is based on your tactics against your target's evasion.
Backstab III backstab3 40K action Same as Backstab III but more damage done.
Dual Blades Mastery 35K combat If holding a true dual-handed weapon (both weapons must be balanced perfectly and complement each other), does additional damage based on the weapon damage bonus.
Exposed Armor 40K combat Chance to strike at the neck area. Less effective if the target is wearing a gorget or has scales and thick skin which can reduce the damage. Can do massive damage and if the target has less than 15% HP, a chance at a killing blow.
Evasive Stance I evasivestance1 25K action 10m 12m Raises your dex by 200 for 3 minutes (raises evade chance by 6%).
Evasive Stance II evasivestance2 35K action 13m 15m Raises dex by 300 but lowers str by 15 (raises evade chance by 10%).
Flick of the Wrist 20K combat Does additional periodic damage when your opponent is not looking.
Off-hand Dagger I 20K combat A weapon held in your off-hand (off-hand dagger or off-hand sword) will do extra damage with a 20% chance to hamstring your opponent (npcs only) reducing their speed by 5%.
Off-hand Dagger 2 40K combat A weapon held in your off-hand (off-hand dagger or off-hand sword) will do extra damage with a 20% chance to paralyze your opponent for 2 seconds.
Off-hand Dagger 3 60K combat A weapon held in your off-hand (off-hand dagger or off-hand sword) will do more than double damage based on the weapon being held in your hand.
Poison Touch 20K combat Your weapon automatically applies a bottle of greater or deadly poison every 60 seconds while in combat. You must pass the skill check and the poison must be in your backpack.
Shadow Step I shadowstep1 30K action 1m Must be hidden. Steps into an opponent's shadow up to 6 tiles away (shadows are always on the north side).
Shadow Step II shadowstep2 50K action 1m Must be hidden. Steps into an opponent's shadow up to 12 tiles away but 20% chance of failure causing sounds and/or unhiding.
Toxicology toxicology 5K action 25m 30m Raises your poisoning skill by 20.
Weapon Dance 25K combat Your skill is so great with a weapon that you will randomly hit a second target or hits the same target twice for up to double damage based on your weapon's damage bonus.


Bard

Bard's Tales bardstales 25K action 10 mins 10 mins The bard performs a reading of their book, drawing a large crowd. Each line gives a chance of drawing another fan. Fans will draw attention to any nearby hostiles and will loiter around the area for 10 minutes.
Charm 25K passive Charms the merchant into giving you 10% more gold when selling a bag of loot. This can be combined with your racial town advantage.
Enrapture I enrapture1 10K action Momentarily stuns an enemy with your voice up to 6 tiles away but costs 6 stamina.
Enrapture II enrapture2 20K action Momentarily stuns an enemy with your voice causing them to weep uncontrollably every second while stunned. works 7 tiles away but costs 8 stamina.
Enrapture III enrapture3 40K action Momentarily stuns an enemy with your voice causing them to repeatedly hit themselves with their weapon every 2 seconds while stunned, causing up to 25% of their weapon damage. Works up to 8 tiles away but costs 10 stamina.
Forgotten Face forgottenface 10K action 60m A guard will forget he hates you.
Invigorating Music I invigoratingmusic1 25K aura The bard uses their music to restore health to players but drains the bard's stamina.
Invigorating Music II invigoratingmusic2 25K aura The bard uses their music to restore mana to players but drains the bard's stamina.
Invigorating Music III invigoratingmusic3 25K aura The bard uses their music to restores stamina to players but drains the bard's mana.
Persuasion persuasion 10K action 15m 20m Raises music and peacemaking by 10.
Mystro 30K 5% chance to provoke monsters who are otherwise unprovokable, in addition, able to provoke onto untargetable monsters if they have 1/3 to 1/4 intelligence of the monster that is the target (monster gets a chance deduction for every 200pts of intelligence they have, up to 5%).
Tone Deaf tonedeaf 15K action 3m Chance if your screeching music is greater than target's taming skill to throw them from their horse (area effect).
Elemental Creature 20K passive The bard's music raises [spellbook] summoned creatures cold, energy and fire damage and resists by 10.


Cleric

Divine Faith 35K combat When your HP drops below 50%, you will do more damage with every other swing.
Divine Touch 25K passive Aura of Healing is increased by 20%.
Doubled-Bladed Mastery 35K combat Does additional damage with weapons that have blades on both ends. Damage is based on the overall weapon's damage bonus and magical bonuses.
Empowered Healing empoweredhealing 15K action 15m 20m Increases your healing skill by 20.
Holy Divinity 35K combat Does additional damage against firebreathers, undead, vampires, daemons and many other creatures of the night.
Retribution 25K combat Strikes against a red-named target under 45% health heals you based on your healing skill.


Druid

Polymorph Mastery 20K passive Your great skill in helping others allows you to polymorph other players.
Savagery I 25K passive When you summon your spirit wolves, they will have their strength increased by 20.
Savagery II 25K passive When you summon your spirit wolves, they will have their dexterity increased by 30.
Savagery III 25K passive When you summon your spirit wolves, they will have their armor increased by 10.
Smite 20K combat While wielding a staff, you are granted a double hit attack (one from each end of the staff) and does extra damage.
Spirit of the Bear spiritofthebear 20K action 15m 20m You become infused with the spirit of the bear. This gives you special fighting abilities as a bear by increasing your strength by 75, dexterity by 100, Macefighting by 35 and tactics by 25.


Fighter

Deadweight Strikes deadweightstrikes 20K action 5m 5m For every 5 points you have in dexterity, it gives you a 1 point boost in tactics for 1 minute.
Dual Blades Mastery 35K combat If you are holding a balanced weapon set with one weapon in each hand, you will do additional damage based on the damage and magical bonuses of the weapon.
Doubled-Bladed Mastery 35K combat Does additional damage with weapons that have blades on both ends. Damage is based on the overall weapon's damage bonus and magical bonuses.
Elbow I 20K combat A cheap move where you hit your opponent with your elbow after attacking.
Elbow II 40K combat Same as Elbow I but does more damage.
Rage rage 25K action 3m 5m All your parry and intelligence funnel into strength with a ratio of 2:1 for 3 minutes.
Shield Bash I 20K combat Bashes an opponent with your shield with a chance to give them a concussion resulting in a 20 mana loss. Uses stamina.
Shield Bash II 40K combat Bashes an opponent with your shield with a chance to dismount your opponent. Does more damage but uses more stamina.
Shoulder Bash I 20K combat Bashes your opponent with your shoulder when wielding a two-handed weapon. Uses stamina.
Shoulder Bash II 40K combat Bashes your opponent with your shoulder when wielding a two-handed weapon. Does more damage but uses more stamina.
Toughness toughness 45K action 25m 30m Increase your total armor by 30% of your current armor rating.
War Cry warcry 20K action 3m 3m All enemies around the fighter loses 25 str, 25 tactics and 25 parry for 3 minutes.


Knight

Spiritual Pressure spiritualpressure 20K action You can meditate faster, giving 50% more mana.
Transfixation transfixation 20K action 25m 30m Converts 15 magic resistance to 20 invocation and 10 magery.
Unholy Alliance unholyalliance 35K action 15m 30m A powerful ability that raises 6 random abilities by 5-15 points, however, all your stats are cut in quarter during this time.


Monk

Except for the I Know Kung-fu abilities and Buddhist Palm ability, all other abilities use your wrestling skill to determine damage. The higher your wrestling, the more damage you will do. The abilities mentioned above deal a fixed amount of damage.

Fists of Fury 30K combat Like a whirlwind, you will strike multiple targets simultaneously if surrounded. Damage is based on your wrestling. Requires both hands free and can not be mounted.
Hung Gar Style 40K combat A powerful but slow fighting style that will periodically a large amount of damage based on 70% wrestling, 30% tactics and 40% anatomy. Hung Gar Style is about 60% slower than the Shaolin Style. You may only have one fighting style. Requires both hands free. Damage is reduced by 50% if mounted.
I Know Kung Fu I 1K combat Your attacks will do an additional 20% damage. Requires one hand free.
I Know Kung Fu II 5K combat Your attacks will do an additional 40% damage. Requires one hand free.
I Know Kung Fu III 10K combat Your attacks will do an additional 60% damage. Requires one hand free.
Inner Peace innerpeace 45K action 25m 30m Your mind and body become one. Raises your wrestling and tactics by 50 but lowers your parry by 20.
Pressure Point pressurepoint 20K action 20m 30m You understand all the weak points of the human body so well that your anatomy will raise by 40.
Roar of the Lion 60K combat A finishing move. As you fight against one opponent, your chi builds up to a point where you are able to unleash it in one powerful physical attack. Requires both hands free and you can not be mounted. You may only have one finishing move.
Roar of the Chimera 60K combat A finishing move. As you fight against one opponent, your chi builds up to a point where you are able to unleash it in one powerful lightning attack. Chimera requires less of a buildup than Lion but does less damage. Requires both hands free and you can not be mounted. You may only have one finishing move.
Shaolin Style 40K combat A quick attack fighting style that does damage based on 55% wrestling, 40% tactics and 30% anatomy. You may only have one fighting style. Requires both hands free. Damage is reduce by 50% if mounted.
Strike of the Cobra 25K combat Your mastery of the skill allows you to strike at multiple targets surrounding you, paralyzing them for up to 15 seconds while you pull away the one you are currently fighting. Requires both hands free and you can not be mounted.


Necromancer

Impending Doom 45K passive When casting Summon Spirit, you have a chance to raise a powerful daemon instead.
Skeleton Mastery 25K passive Skeletal warriors raised from the dead are stronger.
Smite 20K combat While wielding a staff, you are granted a double hit attack (one from each end of the staff) and does extra damage.
Spirit of the Undead spiritoftheundead 20K action 15m 30m The necromancer is able to call upon the dark forces and turn into a skeletal warrior, increasing strength by 75, dexterity by 100, Macefighting by 35 and tactics by 25.
Summon Resist summonresist 35K passive Undead raised from the ground gain higher magic resistance.
Polymorph Mastery 20K passive Your great skill in helping others allows you to polymorph other players.
Undead Master 20K passive When using Control Undead, your controlled mobs will last 50% longer.


Ninja

Paladin

Dark Storm darkstorm 20K combat For Dark Paladins. Each swing of your weapon has a chance to damage nearby players.
Divine Storm divinestorm 20K combat For Light Paladins. Each swing of your weapon has a chance to heal nearby players.
Hallowed Ground 20K passive Increases the damage to Aura of Spirituality by 200%.
Retribution 25K combat Strikes against a red-named target under 45% health heals you based on your healing skill.
Shield Bash I 20K combat Bashes an opponent with your shield with a chance to give them a concussion resulting in a 20 mana loss. Uses stamina. Shield Bash I, II and III use the shield's armor rating to determine damage done.

Sanctuary of Aegis sanctuaryofaegis 25K action 24h A selfless ability that gives a player of the priest's choice the gift of life renewal... they do not have to pay death taxes upon their death. This ability has an additional cost of 500 virtue and the priest's life (knocks the priest unconscious).
Unholy Alliance unholyalliance 35K action 15m 30m A powerful ability that raises 6 random abilities by 5-15 points, however, all your stats are cut in quarter during this time.
Smite 20K combat Priests wielding a staff are granted a double hit attack (one from each end of the staff) and does extra damage.


Ranger

Etherial Shot 20K combat When a bow is equipped, each shot has a chance to instantly kill a summoned creature.
Kick 20K combat Kicks your opponent in the shin for additional damage (melee fighting only).
