Manastone

Manastones are magical stones made by the tinkerer that allow you to merge magic items with non-magic items. This will transfer the magical properties of the item, including all wear and tear, to the new item to give your character either a custom look or make an existing item that can not be found magical into a magical item. Once fused, the magic item will be destroyed and the non-magical item will take the properties of the magical item.

You may transfer items up to 5 times without any consequence. After the fifth time, there is a 5% chance for each time the item has been transferred over 5 times that the item will be destroyed. For example, if the item is about to be transferred for a 6th time, there is a 5% chance the item will break. If the item is to be transferred for the 10th time, there is a 25% chance the item will break.

Rules

  • You can not use a manastone on any item that is .owned.
  • Weapons, except for staves, can not be transferred.
  • The item must be the same slot and armor rating. The only exception to this are the order shields.
  • The item can not be a masterpiece.
  • The item can not be a specially-named item. It must be the original name of the item (e.g. a fancy shirt).
  • Armor of Einherjar and death shrouds can not be transferred.

Problems

Some magic items may have been converted or altered in some way in the past that stops them from being transferred. These items are considered altered and will not be able to be transferred.

  • There have been reports that a manastone will not accept some druid staves. This sometimes happens with found druid staves. If this has happened to you, try making a new one by going to the druid's henge then manastone the new stave.
