Basic Commands

Many dot commands come with a help (for example, type .command help) with a list of parameters that can be accepted for that dot command.


Command Function
.ability brings up a gump with your available useable abilities.

.ability [abilityname]: does not bring up the gump and activates the ability right away.

.afk Shows you as [afk] when using .online.
.arm [1, 2, 3] Equip weapon/shield combo after disarming. To set arm use .disarm #.
.blackhole If you can not log on with one character, use another character to send all other characters on your account back to the Gates of Asgard.
.busy Shows you as [busy] when using .online.
.craftedby [on/off] Turns on or off whether the [crafted by] tag shows up on crafting items. Only tradeskill grandmasters may turn this on.
.craftingbag Sets a bag for all crafted and harvested items.
.dance [#...] Dance a little jig. For more information, check out the Dancing page.
.disarm [none, 1, 2, 3, bag] Unequips your weapon/shield in slot 1, 2 or 3. Using .disarm bag will set a bag to hold your equipped items when you disarm.
.door Opens or closes all doors within 3 tiles of where you're standing.
.dotcommands Displays a list of available dot commands. Use the help parameter if you are unsure what it does.
.e [#/action Performs a sound or action emote.
.exp Shows your current amount of experience.
.falldown [#] Falls flat on your face. Using a number sets the height from 1 to 9.
.feedback To enter feedback about a targeted player. When you target the player you will be given a menu with the following options to choose from:
  • Player being rude OOC
  • Attacked without consent
  • Player shows good RP abilities
  • Player needs assistance with RP
  • Other
  • Use this wisely. Attempt to resolve any issue in game before reporting it to staff. Inappropriate use of this option can result in banning.
.fix Puts you back on ground level if you're stuck.
.gametime Displays the current week and month.
.guild Use with the Adventurer's Guild: tells you about your current quest, tickets, etc.
.help Displays a condensed help menu within the game.
.hide Same as using the hide skill. Use this instead of using 'useskill hiding' in macro options.
.inspect For those that have the custom mouseover turned off, you can use this to give a detailed analysis of an item.
.lastskill Use the last skill you picked out of the skill window without having to reopen the skill window again.
.liedown [#] Lies down flat on the ground. Using a number sets the height from 1 to 9.
.look Brings up a gump which you may write a short story for your character. Can also be used for looking at another player's story if they have one in there.

.look is typically used for RP when you approach a new person to 'see' something about them, their mannerisms or something not as noticeable rather than just looking at their clothing on their paperdoll.

.mail Send and receive mail.
.masterpiece [on/off] Toggles on/off whether you will attempt to make a masterpiece while crafting.
.newevent Informs other players about player-hosted events.
.online Shows list of who's online.
.options Allows you to set options for auto heal, auto cure and various other options. Also shows online time.
.password [newpwd] Allows player to change password in game. Also available in .options.
.playtime Shows statistics for your online time: overall total time and place.
.point Your character points at a specific place/item and gives the name of the item, if available. Two emotes will appear: one above the targeted location and the second over your character indicated you are pointing there.
.prac Shows time left practicing a skill.
.redress [1-5] Undresses then redresses you to that clothing slot. There is a slight delay when using redress again.
.shapechange If your race allows shapechanging then the command toggles between human and set shape.
.spec Opens your specialization book. Newly-created character will have to set primary skills, secondary skills and trade skill and be able to see their stat caps for those skills selected. Remember to save your specs otherwise right-click on the book will cancel it. Once skills are set you can use .spec to view or change the settings.
.stealth Same as using the stealth skill. Use this instead of using 'useskill stealth' in macro options.
.undress [option] Removes all your clothes and jewelry. Parameters include: help, 1 to 5, bag, jewelry.
.virtue Shows how many virtue points you have.
.war If you are having problems with the tab key, use this to switch between war and peace modes.


Communication Commands

.gc [message] Group chat with other members in your player guild.

.gc [message]: Sends guild message to those that have hear guild message turned on.

.gc on: Turns hear guild message option on.

.gc off: Turns hear guild message option off.

.group [option] Lets others in your group see what you are saying. Players in the same group will hear everything the other one says, no matter where they are (if it's turned on).

.group on: Turn on group speak.

.group off: Turn off your send status. You'll still hear whatever the rest of the group says but you won't broadcast what you say to the rest of the group.

.group join: Target a player to join groups with them.

.group msg: Opens a message box to send a single line of text to other players. You have to use this if you're dead since regular speech won't work.oO OoOO.

.group members: List all the other players in your group.

.group quit: Quit the group.

.msg [option] .msg: Shows list of current online players to send a message. Selecting one brings up a window for entering message text. The player you are sending the message to will receive it as blue text on the left hand bottom corner of their screen.

.msg name: Brings up msg gump so you can enter message to send to specified player name.

.msg style: Toggles the style of the text gump.

.msg noerrors: Toggles on/off whether you get error messages when sending messages.

.msg help: Gives help on using .msg.

.reply Brings up a gump to reply to the last person that .msg'd you.

.reply [message] Sends a message to the last person that .msg'd you. You can also type in .reply [message] to reply to the last person that messaged you. Using .reply [message] will only show up in the lower left hand corner of the screen of the player you are messaging - it will not open a reply window for the player you are messaging.


Ownership Commands

.own: places/removes your owner's mark on the targeted item that can be owned.

.own bag: places/removes your owner's mark on the targeted bag and any item within it that can be owned.


Health Commands

.cure [#] .cure: Attempts to drink a cure potion if you are carrying one.

.cure 2: Attempts to cast cure spell on yourself if you have the spell.

.cure 3: Attempts to bandage yourself if you are carrying bandages.

.heal [#] .heal: Attempts to drink a heal potion if you are carrying one.

.heal 2: Attempts to cast greater heal spell on yourself if you have the spell.

.heal 3: Attempts to bandage yourself if you are carrying bandages.

.options Allows you to set options for auto heal, auto cure and various other options.


Guild, Order and Title Commands

.alignment Toggles your virtue between good and negative titles.
.exp Shows your current amount of experience.
.gc [message] Group chat with other members in your player guild.

.gc [message]: Sends guild message to those that have hear guild message turned on.

.gc on: Turns hear guild message option on.

.gc off: Turns hear guild message option off.

.honor [Order Guild only] Displays your current amount of Honor.
.resign [Player Guild only] Resigns you from your current player guild (option to resign also available on the guild stone). A confirmation gump will ask if you really want to do this.
.virtue Displays your current amount of Virtue.


Game Commands

.games Play a Blackjack or Jacks or Better for cold hard gold.
.hangman Play a game of hangman.


Language Commands

.orc [help, dict, sentence] Speak in orc.

.orc dict: shows a list of commands

.orc sentence: Replaces words in the sentence with the orc equivalent. If the word is not found in the dictionary, it will be left out of the sentence. Use [] around a word to force it into the sentence.


Pack Management Commands

.count Counts the number of items in the targeted bag.
.dump [option] .dump: Dumps items from one bag to another.

.dump sort: Moves items from one container to another. Any stackable items that are being dumped will be autostacked with like items that may be elsewhere in your pack.

.dump recurse: Dumps the contents of containers in the selected bag into a new bag. Example: You buy 3 bags of 200 regs each from a mage shop. If all 3 of these bags are in 1 bag, you can dump the contents of all 3 bags into your reg bag.

.dump recurse sort or .dump sort recurse: see above.

.grab [option] .grab: Picks up items in the nearby area or in nearby corpses and places them in your backpack or preset grab bag. When you .grab items that have been .own'd, they will be moved to the main level backpack instead of your normal loot bag. This command will only loot hides and meats if you toggle .grab autocarve.

.grab bag: Makes the targeted bag your default grab bag.

.grab 1: Loots only items .own'd by you.

.grab 2: Overrides having owned items placed immediately in your backpack. Only loots items that are .own'd and they will be placed in your grab bag.

.grab autostack: Automatically stacks items looted with like items anywhere in your pack.

.grab autocarve: Automatically carves off animal hides and meat from the corpse (if available). Need a butcher's knife or dagger in your pack.

.move Will move all items of the same name/color/type into a bag of your choice.
.reg Counts the reagents and resources your are carrying and displays a list with amounts. Arrow down/up to view next/previous page.
.sort [option] Brings up a list of all the items in your backpack. Note: if you have multiple items with the same name, you may require to keep using .sort and selecting the item until it appears at the top of your pack.

.sort ammo: Moves all arrows and bolts into the targeted bag.

.sort owned: Moves all owned items into the targeted bag.

.sort regs: Moves all magic reagents into the targeted bag.

.sort gems: Moves all gems into the targeted bag.

.sort gold: Moves all gold into the targeted bag.

.sort bank: Stacks all stackable items in the selected bag with items in your bank box.

.sort search [partial name]: Searches the bag for matches to the partial name given.
